The
ancient parish of Bryncroes is situated
about 2km from Sarn along the B4413 Pwllheli
to Aberdaron road.
St.
Mary's Church, renovated in 1906,
is warm and cosy with morning service
every Sunday.
The
school was closed after a fierce
confrontation between parents and the
local education authority (1969-72),
and the building is now used as a community
center.
The
well at the center of the village is one
that the saints on route to enlli rested
at. Another example is Ffynnon Leuddad
in the north eastern end of the parish
on the land of Carrog farm.
Along
the road towards rhiw a small boss shows
the location of Castell Caeron and the
stone axe factory.
There
are spectacular views from coast to coast from
the heights above the axe factory and many
stopping places to view the vistas from
this rock strewn mountain.

There
are many good footpaths around the parish,
some of which have been opened recently. |
