Saif Pwllheli yn y fan lle mae'r afon Erch, a'r afon Rhyd-Hir yn cyfarfod, a'r yr arfordir Deheuol o'r penrhyn. Dyma'r brif dref farchnad yn yr ardal, ac mae'r Marina wedi gwneud Pwllheli yn ganolfan wych ar gyfer hwylio, a chwaraeon dwr eraill.

Mae ardal Lôn Cob Bach, Pwllheli (SH 373347) wedi ei ddynodi gan Gyngor Gwynedd oherwydd ei gwerth ecolegol lleol a’r defnydd hamdden a wneir ohoni. Mae’n gymharol unigryw fel Gwarchodfa Natur Leol am ei bod yn enghraifft o wlyptir a gwastadedd llifogydd o fewn tref. Bwriedir ei hymestyn yn y blynyddoedd sydd i ddod.

Dynodwyd nifer o adeiladau yn Llŷn gyda’r bwriad o’u gwarchod a diogelu naws pentrefi’r ardal. Yn eu plith mae canol pentrefi Aberdaron a rhannau o Lanengan a Llangian sydd o fewn cyffiniau’r eglwys. Rhestrir nifer o adeiladau ym Mhwllheli megis y Wyrcws, Penlan Fawr, ‘Whitehall’, dorau’r harbwr, Hen Neuadd y Dref, y gofeb ar y Cob a’r addoldai.

The town of Pwllheli sits at the convergence of the two rivers, the Erch and Rhyd-Hir, on the southern coast of the peninsula. It is the main market town for the area and the Marina has made it an excellent center for yachting and water sports.

The land at the Cob, Pwllheli (SH 373347) has been protected as a Local Nature Reserve by Cyngor Gwynedd Council. This is quite unique for this nature reserve is located at the centre of Llŷn’s busiest and largest town.

Many of Llŷn’s building are protected in an effort to preserve the natural appearance of rural villages. Aberdaron, Llanengan and Llangian are just some of those villages protected in this way. Many buildings in Pwllheli are also listed, including the old Workhouse, The Penlan Fawr, Whitehall, the harbour gates, The Old Town Hall, its many worship buildings and the memorial on the Cob.
