 Gwefannau i gymunedau lleol-Community websites

CymunedolThis is a bilingual message, the English text can be found Here

Mae cynllun sy'n bwriadu rhoi gwefan i bob cymuned wledig yn Sir Gaerfyrddin yn cael ei lansio yr wythnos hon. Bydd pob safle yn darparu gwybodaeth leol, hanes, manylion am elusennau, clybiau digwyddiadau ac oriel luniau.

Mae hyn yn agos iawn at be mae Penllyn.com wedi bod yn darparu i'r ardal hon ers 1999!

Mae'r system wybodaeth gymunedol wedi ei sefydlu gan gymdeithas twristiaeth y sir ac fe fydd hefyd yn gweithredu fel bas data i ymwelwyr. Y gobaith yw y bydd dros 70 o blwyfi yn manteisio ar y cyfle i hyrwyddo eu hunain. Fe all pob cymuned reoli'r cynnwys a bydd y cyfrifiaduron, allweddellau, peiriannau sganio a chameru digidol yn cael eu cynnig i'r rhai heb offer.

Mae'r cynllun yn cael ei ariannu drwy grant o dros 120,000 gan Gyngor Sir Caerfyrddin ac Awdurdod Datblygu Cymru. Mae'r cynllun yn cael ei lansio gan Edwina Hart AC a'r cyflwynydd Ray Gravell yn y Ganolfan Datblygu Busnes Gwledig yn Nantyci ger Caerfyrddin nos Iau.

Dywedodd swyddog o gymdeithas twristiaeth y sir, Emma Martin-Jewell y bydd gan bob safle ei enw ei hun ond y bydd hefyd wedi ei gysylltu gwefan y gymdeithas, sef Tourlink. "Bydd y system yn galluogi cymunedau i greu a chynnal eu gwefannau unigol heb unrhyw feddalwedd arbenigol nac unrhyw sgiliau eang mewn technoleg gwybodaeth," meddai.

"Bydd yn cynnwys manylion fel gwybodaeth leol, adran am hanes y gymuned, system o fapiau, gwybodaeth sylfaenol fel manylion am elusennau lleol, clybiau, orielau lluniau, diwylliant lleol, eglwysi, capeli ac ysgolion.

"Bydd gan gynghorau lleol eu hadrannau eu hunain, bydd hysbysfyrddau ar gyfer newyddion cymunedol a chylchlythyrau a bydd lle i bobol sgwrsio mewn stafelloedd sgwrsio byw.

"Bydd yn helpu i leihau effeithiau bod yn ynysig ac yn helpu i ddod chymunedau ynghyd," meddai. Bydd gwefannau unigol ar gyfer Caerfyrddin, San Clr, Llanarthne a Llanymddyfri yn mynd yn fyw ar y noson.

Y gobaith yw y bydd yr holl blwyfi, 72 i gyd, yn ymuno yn y pen draw. Mae Elfyn Davies, ffermwr o'r ardal, yn rhan o bwyllgor sydd wedi bod yn gweithio i sefydlu safle ar gyfer Cynwyl Gaeo ger Llanbed.

"Y prif beth cyn belled ag yr ydyn ni yn y cwestiwn yw yn rhannol i hyrwyddo'r ardal i ymwelwyr ac yn rhannol i roi gwybod i'r gymuned leol beth sy'n digwydd," meddai. Mae'r gymuned wedi sefydlu ei chanolfan dechnoleg gwybodaeth ei hun yn neuadd y pentref a hefyd mae'n rhedeg tafarn y pentref wedi cynlluniau i'w gau.

A new project will be launched on thursday by Edwina Hart (The Minister for Social Justice and Regeneration). It aims to work as a portal for up to 70 community web sites in Caerfyrddin. The community web sites will be stand alone sites under their own domains, and linked through the portal.

This is exactly what was envisaged for Llyn and later for Gwynedd by myself as project manager at Penllyn.com. Penllyn.com has been providing this kind of system for Llyn since 1999.

The project is backed by the local County council and the WDA with a grant of 120,000. 4 community sites will initially go 'live' on thursday - Caerfyrddin, San Clr, Llanarthne and Llanymddyfri. The similarities are striking with the project proposing to include the following information- local history, maps, information about local services and charities, picture galleries, churches, chapels and schools.

The project is part funded by Objective 1 funds from; WEFO, the Rural Services and Thematics Partnership and the WDA. The aims of the project are to encourage greater communication, promote the freedom of information, and increase the use of ICT in communities. The websites will establish a greater awareness to residents and visitors alike of what amenities and services are available within their community, whilst creating a living archive of historical events and news.

Through the system we have here in Llyn, it is possible for local people to contribute and be included in-
The business directory-Business directory
The Service directory-Service directory
The community news system- Local News
The events calender- Local Events
Local Church and Chapels- Church and Chapels
Local Maps- Local Maps
Local Footpaths- Local Footpaths
Local History- Local History
Local Picture Galleries- Picture Galleries
Historical Picture Galleries- Historical Picture Galleries
etc,etc...........
We also work closely with the communities first groups throghout Gwynedd, local primary schools. Penllyn.com gets between 150 and 250,000 hits a month and is always looking for more local contributors.
